身為講者，毛遂自薦很主要，因為這是讓聽眾熟悉你的最好方法 翻譯社不外介紹 翻譯長度不需太長，只要將自己的名字、所屬機構、職稱、營業內容等清楚告訴聽眾便可。要注意的是，就算聽眾對你早已熟知，基於禮貌還是必需陳述自己的名字。若你是在公司內部做簡報，也需見告聽眾你的部門與職稱。若你不是當地人，最好也申明一下自己來自何處，以下是常用 翻譯說法：

從上面的例子可以看出，多數講者在介紹其所屬機構（包括公司、學校等）時通常只會講出其名稱，不會介紹太多；但在某些場所，講者所屬機構的背景與相關資料對聽眾而言很主要，這時便必須花點時候多做介紹，但時間也不宜過長，以避免聽眾覺得不耐。
